An abdominal series may indicate digestive disorders, organ dysfunction, colon inflammation,

low back pain, disc disease, etc.

Patient experienced low back pain but thermal findings indicated inflammation over the right kidney which can refer pain to the back. Subsequent tests confirmed a kidney infection. 

This thermogram shows the abdomen of a patient with hepatitis. The hepatic blood vessel ( closed after birth ) has now opened from the liver to the umbilicus.
